When people feel stuck, they usually make the problem bigger.
They try to solve the whole quarter. The whole business. The whole season of life.
That’s too much weight for one moment.
Shrink the move
If you feel stuck, make the target smaller.
What’s the next right move? Not the master plan. Not the final version. Just the next thing that creates movement.
One email. One walk. One page. One call. One hard truth written down.
That’s enough to get traction back.
Don’t worship the mood
You’re not always going to feel sharp. Or brave. Or ready.
That’s fine.
The mood doesn’t have to lead. The action can lead.
Once you move, your state usually changes. Once your state changes, the next move gets easier.
Get back into motion
That’s the game.
Not solving everything in one burst. Just getting out of freeze mode and back into motion.
When I feel stuck, I try to get honest, get small, and get moving.
That usually fixes more than another hour of overthinking ever will.
